Library Clubs That Leave No One Out: How to Build a Successful Library Club presented by Amy Hutto, LMS of SouthSide Bee Branch High School The library is meant to be a safe haven for readers and non-readers alike. Building a thriving Library Club takes ingenuity (and funding) to include all students, especially those that are not involved in any other extra-curricular activities. Of course, we want all students to love reading, but the reality is, there are many students who aren't there yet. But maybe they love the library? Maybe that is common ground that we as library media specialists can capitalize on. Having a variety of activities brings all types of students together, not just those who love to read. In this session, participants will learn how SSHS Library Club funds itself, as well as receive an overview of the events (Book Clubs, etc.) that happen throughout the year.
