INFORMATION SERVICES DEPARTMENT MANAGER – The Central Arkansas Library System is seeking a full time (40 hours/week) Information Services Department Manager. The Information Services Department Manager reports to the Head of the Main Library and oversees the work of several divisions within the department, including Public Computer Lab, Interlibrary Loan, Periodicals, Phone/Chat Reference Service, and Downloadable Library support. The successful candidate will be excited by the challenge of working in the changing environment of reference services, have a deep commitment to providing excellent service and the ability to offer strong leadership to a talented and diverse team, and be open to the possibilities that new technologies and methods can offer. Candidates must possess strong customer-service skills, strong problem-solving skills, an easy-going nature, and enthusiasm for working with diverse patrons and staff. An ideal candidate will be flexible, team-oriented, and have an open and optimistic attitude. Graduate degree (MLS, MLIS, etc.), plus 3 years related experience and/or training, and 2 years related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.  Second language preferred.
