The Saline County Library is seeking a bright, dynamic, and enthusiastic manager to provide leadership and direction to a team of public service professionals in the Bob Herzfeld Memorial Library. With over 297,356 patron visits last year, the BHML offers a comprehensive service to all those who live, work and study in Saline County by offering patrons access to a wide range of resources and programs.
The Library Manager must have a passion for creating an environment of teamwork that embraces change and excellent customer service. He/she must possess effective management skills and experience, and be knowledgeable about the administrative and programmatic operations of public libraries in a suburban setting.
Governed by a five-member Board, the Library serves the 107,000 Saline County residents with a dedicated staff of 32 FTEs and a $3 million annual operating budget from two locations – the Bob Herzfeld Memorial Library (Benton) and the Mabel Boswell Memorial Library (Bryant).

We need you to lead the public-facing departments at the main library and work closely with system-wide, and branch library staff to provide the best library service possible to the Saline County community.
Master's in Library Science from an ALA accredited university plus five years of supervisory experience required. Strong leadership qualities, sound judgment, self-motivation, and the commitment to providing excellent service in a public library are essential.
Salary range: $45,000 - $68,000 depending on experience. Excellent benefits package including paid health care/vision/dental insurance, Arkansas Public Employees Retirement, Day Care compensation and a Wellness Program.
