The Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library is seeking a Teen Librarian.
This position is responsible for the daily operations of the Teen area. Responsibilities include planning and implementing programs and activities relating to teens, ages 13-17, and collaborating with Youth Services staff for programming, especially for tweens, 4th-6th grade. This position is responsible for the collection development of the Teen Library in the main library. This position requires availability to work some evenings and weekends.
The ideal applicant has a master’s degree in Library Science (MLS) from a college or university with an ALA-accredited program, or a combination of a bachelor’s degree and relevant experience. Previous experience working with teens is required.
This is a full-time position with starting pay between $40,000 and $45,000, depending on education and experience. Benefits include a generous paid time off plan, paid health and dental insurance, and APERS retirement. PTO and insurance benefits amount to approximately $10,000 in value per year.
