The Pope County Library System (PCLS) is seeking an experienced library leader to serve as Library Director.

The Pope County Library System is a four-branch library system whose Headquarters are in Russellville, Arkansas, an expanding Arkansas River Valley community conveniently located at the crossroads of Interstate 40 and nationally Scenic Highway 7. PCLS provides services to over 65,000 Pope County residents via their Atkins, Dover, Hector, and Russellville libraries and a Bookmobile which travels throughout the County.

The library has an annual budget of $1.6 million and a staff of 19 FTE and 25 PTE. As a department of Pope County, the library directly reports to a five-member Administrative Board of Trustees and the Pope County Judge, the elected official charged with system oversight.

Qualified applicants must possess a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science (MLS, MLIS) from an ALA-accredited program.

Five years of progressively responsible library administration experience including at least three years in a supervisory capacity.
