The User Services department at University of Arkansas Libraries is seeking a full-time (40-hour/week) Evening Supervisor. The User Services Evening Supervisor coordinates evening operations and services for User Services service points (Mullins Library Help Desk and Multimedia Services). The position directly supervises two full-time staff members; works with the User Services supervisory team to hire, train, supervise, and evaluate employees; leads staff assistance with stacks maintenance, multimedia services, and other public services; helps provide supervision, training, and leadership guidance for desk and service activities to other full-time employees; resolves patron disputes and provides courteous and professional services to patrons throughout service areas and responds to and refers patrons as appropriate; and monitors for building security-related matters and coordinates with UAPD in handing building security and library patron safety-related incidents. The position reports to the User Services Coordinator.
