Children's Programmer: Central Arkansas Library System, Little Rock, AR

CHILDREN’S PROGRAMMER – Full-time public service position at the Main Library, Youth Services Department. Seeking dynamic and energetic children's programmer to focus on bringing children's library programs into the community.  This person would have a focus on reaching our to schools, early childhood centers, group homes, and other organizations to provide library outreach for young children who may not otherwise have access to library services.  In addition to programming, the employee will demonstrate excellent customer service to library patrons of all ages and perform outreach. Other essential duties include working at the circulation desk, providing reader's advisory, building displays, and posting to social  media. Ideal candidate will be team oriented, have experience working with children,  and have some knowledge of children's literature. l. Some weekends required.
