The Reference and Instruction Services Division of ArLA will be hosting its annual Reference Exchange Day virtually on May 29, 2020. The event will start at 9:00 a.m. and last until about 12:00 p.m. Below is a general agenda for the day - more specific details will be provided closer to the event. Registration for this event is free - click here to register! Come join us and talk about how the COVID-19 situation is affecting virtual reference services and discuss ways to navigate necessary changes to in-person reference services in the future.
Reference Exchange Day will include:
5 minute, 5 slide flash presentations covering best practices and recent changes to phone, chat/text, and email platforms for reference services, as well as using LibGuides/Pathfinders as a reference resource and how Beanstacks summer reading tracking options can be used to direct users to various library resources.
After these short presentations, we will have round-table discussions on changes to reference services that we will be making in response to the COVID-19 virus.
A link to the Zoom meeting space for this event will be sent out soon. Hope to see many of you on May 29!
